Hey, Workie!
This week has been packed with a whole lot of highs and lows, first the whole CBEX debacle choked everyone (please tell me they didn't get you too 🥲), and then to wrap it up on a high note JP2025 broke the internet.
I’m still not over the dress papaya wore to the wedding.

Dummies Guide To: Ponzi Schemes
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably heard about the CBEX matter that had the whole internet going crazy.
It’s so upsetting how common it is for Nigerians to fall victim to Ponzi schemes and it’s just got me thinking when people are going to learn to notice patterns.
If you’re still wondering what a Ponzi scheme is, it is an investment scam that pays early investors with money taken from later investors to create an illusion of big profits.
First it was MMM now it’s CBEX and in a few years it could be DVEZ and people would still fall for it.
I don’t want you to be one of those people so I’m going to give you a simple guide to detecting Ponzi schemes.
The promise of huge profits with little to no risk: A genuine investment is typically characterized by high returns with increased risk. So, exercise caution when encountering investments that guarantee returns or appear too attractive to pass up.
Steady Profits: Ponzi schemes typically yield steady profits, regardless of market conditions. This happens because the returns aren’t sourced from actual investments but from the capital of new investors.
Aggressive Sales Techniques: Ponzi scheme perpetrators usually employ aggressive sales techniques to persuade investors to participate in the scheme quickly.
