Hey, Workie!
Happy Eid everyone 💗 please don’t forget to keep my meat for me 😪
So, this babe went viral on TikTok over the week, for crying and screaming about her friend looking better than her on her birthday 😂 And I have a million questions about the matter but mainly, with friends like that who even needs enemies?
Where do you guys even find friends like that?

Let’s Talk Portfolios!
A “career portfolio”, “professional portfolio”, “work portfolio”, whatever you’d like to refer to it as, is a way to display your best work to potential clients or employers.
Portfolios typically contain proof of your skills, samples, visual demonstrations of your craft, letters of recommendation and even your resume.
Now, not every single profession requires a portfolio but with more creative careers like (Content Writing, Graphic Designing) and tech careers like (UI/UX, Software Engineering) it’s advisable to have a portfolio.
The great part about portfolios is that you don't need years of professional experience to create an impactful one.
Personal projects, academic assignments, hackathon participations, and contributions to open-source initiatives can all serve as excellent portfolio pieces. The key is to clearly articulate your role in each project, the challenges you faced, how you overcame them, and the technologies you utilized. This demonstrates not just your technical abilities but also your problem-solving skills and initiative.
Speaking of Events…
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
Festival of Change 2025
Festival of Change 2025 is happening, and it’s not your regular panel-and-powerpoint event.
It is where students with big questions meet techies with real answers.
Where educators, creators, and young people like you dream together and build.
I’m talking:
Real & honest conversations
AI vs humans in the classroom
A hackathon solving African education problems (with prizes)
Art & music fun
Speed mentoring + career fair
Giveaways that actually make sense
And guess what? CareerBuddy (yes, me) will be there too; with answers to your burning career questions, CV templates for steal, and fun merch so you can look like a kool kid while doing serious things.
If you care about how education shapes your life (and future), and you want to be part of building what’s next… you should definitely be in the room.
Expect giveaways, internships, opportunities, but most importantly: clarity, connection, and the courage to do things differently.
AMATEUR HOUR
“I Was Fired Because I Didn’t Let a Customer Slap Me”
Quick question: What would you do if somebody at your job tried to slap you? If you said you’d just deal with it, you’re absolutely nothing like this babe because she pepper-sprayed the guy and her manager was not happy about it.
